21st Century Cartography
By Chris Mutter • Mar 25th, 2008 • Category: Center for the Arts, TechnologyUsing Google Earth and Maps to Empower Student Learning
This CUE session was all about using Google Earth and Google Maps in classroom curriculum. The idea was that the instructor could recreate events through the use of these tools and present that to the class, or have the students recreate the events themselves as a project. The tools allow a wide range of possibilities including the addition of 360 degree photos, videos, sounds, etc. This would be great to use in a History class to recreate events, English to set a story, or even in Science (Google Sky).www.jakesonline.orgwww.newspaperarchive.com www.evoca.com
