Going To Community College

Following graduation in June, one post-secondary option is Community College. A majority of seniors graduating on June 22 will probably choose Community College. Why? The per unit cost = $20. The second reason may be the variety of courses offered at MESA, MIRAMAR & CITY COLLEGE. At community college a student can choose courses leading to an Associates degree or courses that offer industry specific certifications.

The San Diego Community College District also offers guaranteed admission to UCSD via the UCSD TAG Program and guaranteed admission to other top UC and CSU schools via the University Transfer Program. So whether the student pursues industry specific certification or courses leading to an Associates Degree or an eventual transfer to a four-year university, going to Community College is a step UP in the right direction at a very low cost.
