HELP our communities in the Philippines, Samoa and other Asian countries!
Coming next week is the Philippines, Samoa, and Asia (PSA) Outreach effort organized by AESA… There will be activities during lunch on Tuesday and Thursday, as well as a weeklong medical supply and fund donation drive throughout the week. On Thursday afterschool, support the effort by purchasing some Asian food after school in the Center Quad. Basketball Fundraiser
Staff vs. J.V. Basketball Game at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Wed. Dec. 9th) in the New Gym and the Alumni game following at 5 p.m. Tickets are only $2 Come out and support our staff, alumni, and basketball teams!
Toy Drive for Jackie Robinson YMCA
A.S.B. is hosting the 2nd annual Toy Drive for our local YMCA. We are asking our staff and students to please bring an unwrapped toy ($10 value or higher) to room 146 (A.S.B.) during lunch. All who participate will have their name entered into a drawing for a Lincoln Blanket. The more toys you donate, the greater chances of winning.
Did you apply to SDSU?
All Lincoln Students are encouraged to attend an informational meeting on how to increase your chances of getting admitted to SDSU through the EOP Program on Wednesday, December 9th in room 303 from 2:30 to 3:30. SDSU must also get a list of all Lincoln students who applied due to a mix up with our school code. Please see Mr. Camacho in room 146 during lunch or room 303 after school.
INTERESTED in Science and/or Math? Looking for an exciting way to spend this upcoming summer?
The COSMOS program at UCSD may be the program for you! It is a 4 week residential enrichment program, where you get to stay at the UCSD campus overnight and develop your interest in math and the sciences. Come to the COSMOS informational meeting during ADVISORY on Thursday, December 17 to find out what you have to do to participate in this summer enrichment program. You must sign up in the Career Center to receive your spot in the meeting by this Friday at 3pm. Space is limited. Mr. & Miss Lincoln Court Applications
At the Green & White Dance held next year, the Mr. & Miss Lincoln Court Applications will be available next week on Monday December 14th during lunch in the A.S.B. room, central office, and online.
Lincoln’s Best Dance Crew
Think you got what is takes to be crowned Lincoln High School’s Best Dance Crew? Then come out to our info. meeting next week on Wednesday, December 16th in the ASB room (146) at lunch. We will be giving out applications and answering any questions.

Calling all Juniors
Attention Junior Class – we had a lot great ideas for fundraisers, but we need juniors to see the fundraisers through. If you are interested in leading a fundraiser please attend our junior class meetings Monday’s at lunch and Wednesday’s after school – in room 548!
Fundraiser
Hot Chocolate & Donuts – support the junior class, warm-up and get a jump start Friday in Center for Social Justice. Donuts and Hot Chocolate will be sold in room 548 from 6:30 to 7:00 am. Come get your Friday started right.
Student Vs. Staff Tennis Tournament
The 2nd Annual Student-Staff Tennis Tournament will begin January 4th. To sign up email or contact coach Davis in room 643, cdavis4@sandi.net. This year there will be four categories, male and female staff and male and female student. The winners of each will face off in the semi-finals. The cost is $15 for staff and only $5 for students. Participants must pay before winter break or they will not be included in the tournament. Good Luck!
Tennis Lessons
Any students interested in learning how to play tennis there will be open courts and free lessons every Wednesday and Thursday Until Winter break. We meet after school on the tennis courts at 2:45 and play until 4:00. Freshman are encouraged to play. A limited amount of tennis racquets will be available for anyone who doesn’t have one. Contact Coach Davis in room 643 for more information.

Circle of Friends. Remember that tomorrow, and every Wednesday, Circle of Friends meets during lunch. Please come to Room 447 at the beginning of lunch. Your school lunch will be waiting. New or interested members are welcome and community service credit is available. See you then!
Tuesday and Thursday Tutoring After School | Learning Lab in Room 450 and T Cubed in Room 544 | 2:30am – 4pm
ALL students are welcome to drop in at our two after school tutoring locations on Tuesday and Thursday. College tutors and some of YOUR teachers are available to help you with your academics, or simply come by to get organized and prioritize what you need to do for the week to be successful in your classes. Come by and check us out!
MECHA Fundraiser
Every Wednesday MECHA will be selling TOSTILOCOS after school @ 3:00 p.m. In the main quad for the 9th grade center for SocialJustice. Tostilocos will cost $2.75.
American Red Cross Club at Lincoln
Come be a part of a great organization new to Lincoln. Besides CPR, the American Red Cross Club will help the Red Cross fulfill its humanitarian mission – to relieve human suffering by preventing, preparing for, and responding to emergencies. Your membership will help your community and even provide world wide support. Earn community service hours and add to your Senior Exhibition. They meet every Tuesday after school. Contact Mr. Monday in Public Safety – room 351 for more information or check them out at their booth on Club Rush Day.
Wave Program
The Winter Aquatic Vocational Education (W.A.V.E.) Program is co-sponsored by the City of San Diego and the American Red Cross. The WAVE Program provides an opportunity for “at risk” youths from low-income and minority households to receive a scholarship and participate in the lifeguard training course. The WAVE Program also requires candidates to complete a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer work at City of San Diego pools and a minimum of 5 hours at the American Red Cross. Students can visit the Career Center to get an information brochure.
