Teachers – please sign up for the banquet before May 14 – to get the discounted price. Forms have been emailed and placed in your box – if you need a new one – please contact Mr.Camacho. The event is scheduled for June 3, at 6:00 at the Hall of Champions.

Last Home Softball Game
Come out and support the seniors for their last home game, this Thursday. May 13, at 3:00 p.m.
Boys Basketball Banquet
On Sunday, May 23, 2010 Lincoln High and the community will honor their basketball program, home of the 2010 Div II State Champions. The banquet will take place at Jacobs Center at Market Creek Plaza, 404 Euclid Avenue, starting at 3:00pm. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Tickets can be purchased ($25 Adults and $15 students) in the finance office during lunch and after school.
Girls Tennis
There will be a girls tennis meeting on Wednesday May 12th at Lunch for any girls interested in playing on the girls tennis team. Please bring your lunch promptly to room 643. If you are unable to make the lunch meeting there will be a second meeting on the tennis courts at 2:30 on Wednesday. For more information see Coach Davis in room 643.
Congratulations to the Lincoln High School Choir
They received the highest rating of GOLD at the Heritage Choral Festival that was held in the LHS Theatre on April 30 and May 1. Other choirs that performed were from Canada, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and other cities throughout California. Lincoln High senior, Ellarese Harvey was awarded the Maestro Trophy for being the Most Outstanding Soloist at the festival. We are extremely proud of the following choir members : C’erra Bell, Eduardo Amaya, Jazmine Sanchez, Ashley Boswell, Royal Dee, Emmeko Miles, Tatiana Butler, Marissa Sanchez, Nicholous Hickerson, Ellarese Harvey, Natashe Cobb, Dorette Evans, Kijontray McClay, Jeanne Iheke, Tatiana Crosby, Unique Cunningham, Miracle Miller, Dorema Randle, De’Ja’ne’ Bruce, Earlandra Martin, Bri’Aja Lloyd, Alicia Quihuis and Victoria Johnson.

Senior Info:
Prom Tickets- Tickets are for sale at lunch and after-school in the Financial Office. Prices are $65 with an ASB card and $70 without an ASB card. Students who have debt to the library or the athletic department must clear their debt before they may purchase a ticket.
Senior Package Holders – You must also turn in a contract in order to attend Prom. Please pick up a contract in your center Office, ASB Room or Ms. Ramírez’s room and turn it in to the Financial Office. It is your responsibility to turn in a completed contract in order to be admitted into Prom.
Prom King and Queen Nominations- Nominations for Prom King and Queen candidates will be done on Thursday, May 13th. Any student that has purchased a prom ticket can run. The 4 ladies and 4 gentlemen who receive the most nominations on Thursday will be chosen to run for Prom King or Queen (Donnell Davis will be acknowledged on that night, so he doesn’t need to be nominated). Final votes will be done at Prom on May 22nd.
Flower Orders (2010 Fundraiser)- Please order your corsage and boutonnière from the Senior Class (469- before school, at lunch or after-school) before Tuesday, May 18th. Flowers will be delivered to campus for you to pickup the Thursday and Friday before Prom. 20% of all orders placed through the Senior Class will be donated to the Class of 2010.
Cap and Gown- Jostens is still taking orders for Cap and Gowns. The Cap and Gown Unit is now $42 and may go up in price as we approach Graduation. Students must fill out the Order Form and mail it directly to Jostens. All the information is on the Late Order Form (I have attached the Late Order Form for you to distribute to students.)

Yearbook & Journalism Applications are available! You can pick one up in the A.S.B room during lunch and the central office. Yearbook apps are due May 18th! Journalism apps are due on May 24th!
Pasta For Pennies Winners
Congrats to the following two classes for winning the Pasta for Pennies Fundriaser! Ms. Greco-Rambo (Public Safety) with $63.52 & Mr. Navarro (Science & Engineering) with $77.41. Arts and Social Justice did not qualify because there was a certain min. requirement in order to have the Olive Garden Lunch. A.S.B. members will be contacting the teachers soon to organize the date of the lunch. Lincoln raised a total of $474.95 for Leukemia and Lyphoma Society! Way to go Hornets!
SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES
Thinking about what YOU will do this summer? There are several summer opportunities taking place at local colleges/universities that may fit your interest! The Science Leadership Institute, the Summer Leadership Institute, and the PSAT Scholars Program are a few examples. These opportunities are either residential or daily bus transportation will be provided during the program… and there is NO COST. You must apply if you’re interested! For more information, stop by the Career Center during LUNCH on Wednesdays or Thursdays, or attend the SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES APPLICATION WORKSHOPS after school from 2:30p – 3:30p on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Library Computer Lab beginning this week and continuing throughout the month of April. Circle of Friends
Reminder, Circle of Friends meets every Wednesday in Room 447 in Science and Engineering. Your school lunch will be waiting. Interested members, come and make new friends, help include persons with disabilities on our campus, and earn community service hours. See you tomorrow!
