WHAT RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CCC?

- Scholarship, Community Service and Job Board
- Opportunities to sign up for various college and career related events (i.e. Fall Semester College Speaker Series, Cal SOAP College Fair, Thursday GEAR UP Workshops, etc.)
- Sign up to meet with a Cal SOAP College Peer Advisor (CPA) to discuss college plans
- Posters, pamphlets and information on various colleges – Private, public, 4 year, 2 year, vocational/trade schools
- Coming soon… 3 computer workstations that students may use for academic, career, college and scholarship purposes

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF THE CCC?

We are open during lunch and after school until 3:30p for students to drop in. Students must have a pass from their teacher if they are going to come in during class time. On occasion we may have meetings off site, and so the center may be closed periodically. Students are welcome to email us directly or leave a note on our door (stickies provided), and we will follow up with them.

FALL SEMESTER COLLEGE SPEAKER SERIES

For these seminars, students must sign up in the College and Career Center to reserve their seat. Students will be given a pass that must be signed by the teacher of the respective class that they will miss prior to the day of the seminar. We will update the attendance for the students who actually show up on time for the seminar.

- Thursday, September 30: Period 3 – The Art Institute
- Friday, October 1: Period 4 – Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology
- Monday, October 4: Period 4 – Stanford
- Tuesday, October 5: 7 pm in Theatre – Yale
- Thursday, October 7: Period 4 – UC Santa Barbar
