Vision
The 9th Grade Center for Social Justice provides students with a unique opportunity to collaborate with teachers and the community to facilitate a successful transition to high school. All incoming 9th-grade students participate in rigorous, college preparatory academic courses which are designed to extend critical thinking beyond the standards-based curriculum. In addition to a specifically designed courses, teachers will infuse issues of Social Justice (i.e., equity, the legal system, diversity, advocacy, student empowerment, activism, etc.) throughout the general education program.
The mission of the 9th Grade Center for Social Justice is to gain empowerment by advocating for equity through solidarity, responsibility and the support of a successful transition through High School.
