This summer, GEAR UP is proud to offer the Summer Link to Success Program for incoming 9th and 10th grade students at our 4 GEAR UP high schools. This summer enrichment academic program will provide an opportunity for GEAR UP students to encourage successful completion of high school, preparation for college entrance exams and explore post-secondary options. This is NOT your traditional summer school, only GEAR UP students are able to participate in this summer opportunity.

Internship Opportunities

Bank of America ‘Student Leader’ Program - selected juniors and seniors have until 02/20/09 to apply for this program that includes an 8-week paid summer internship with a local nonprofit organization.

InnerSpark – a California State summer school program specifically for the Arts that’s open to students in grades 8-12. This summer program runs from Jul 11 – Aug 7/09. Students live on the campus of the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia.

Students should visit the Career Center for more information.
